All Climate-Informed PhDs, Contributors, Board and our International Evaluation Committee (IEC) members are warmly invited to our first Career Days event, 24-25 September 2026, at the University of Bergen!
The event will bring together members of the research school for two half-days of learning, networking and scientific exchange. It will be a valuable opportunity to connect across roles and institutions, discuss career-related topics, and gain new perspectives on both research and professional development.
The first day will focus on mental health, psychology and climate-related perspectives. The programme includes a talk on mental health as a PhD student, a talk on climate and psychology, a panel discussion on climate science beyond research, as well as posters, stands and an ice-breaker activity. We will also gather for dinner in the evening. The second day will focus on science, with presentations from IEC members and PhD members. The event starts at 11:45 on 24 September and ends with lunch on 25 September. Please see the tentative programme outline for more details.
Student presentations
All PhD members are expected to present their research, either as a poster or an oral presentation. It is a great opportunity to receive feedback from fellow PhD candidates and senior scientists.
Poster presentation session will be on the first day while the oral presentation session will be on the second day. Each oral presentation will be 10-15 minutes plus 5 minutes for questions and discussions.
Travel expenses
We will cover the travel and accommodation expenses for those not based in Bergen. PhD members are expected to share a hotel room with a fellow PhD candidate.
